Tim Gallagher
On the night of November 17th, 2012, Tim and a group of friends went out for a fun night in Chicago. Tragically, Tim Gallagher, 21, passed away in an unfortunate accident, leaving behind his loving family and countless friends. Tim was studying Journalism at Western Illinois University before his death and also expressed dreams of being involved in Law Enforcement. Although Tim has left us in flesh, his legacy will continue to live on through the Tim Gallagher Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Scholarship
Shortly after Tim's death, a fund was put in place in hopes of raising enough money to plant a memorial tree in Tim's name at a local Crystal Lake Park. The project was an overwhelming success! Not only were we able to raise enough money to plant the tree, but we were able to raise enough money to create the scholarship fund. This scholarship is a gift from Tim's family, friends and the community that he loved so much. The Tim Gallagher Memorial Scholarship is given out once a year to graduating Seniors in McHenry County, who displays the attributes necessary to make a positive impact on the community. |
